The truth is out there!
I love that lead tone at the beginning, and that rhythm guitar sounds sweet too.
Thanx man. I'm not a guitar player, so it's always a relief to know my tones don't suck.I love that lead tone at the beginning, and that rhythm guitar sounds sweet too.
Thanx Elton. Good idea on the vocals. Anything I can do to disguise my voice is worth trying.Very well done sir. Has a very classic sound to it. I would dirty up the vocals a bit on the verses.
I'm callin bullshit.
I appreciate that, but I wasn't laying on the false modesty. I personally have trouble listening to my voice sing lead vocals. I have no problem listening to my back-up vocals and harmonies for some reason. But it's a rare song that I can turn up the lead vocals to what everyone else would consider a good volume and say "I nailed that tune". I always want to turn them down lest I cringe.![]()
Thanx Ray.Yeah, new drums are cool.
There's a little bit of Copperhead Rd in the intro.
Good snare level on this mix.
I look forward to the new album.
How's the cover band going?
I reckon you should start a new cover band covering RAMI tunes.
I wrote mine about 8 years ago.I wrote a song years ago called Indian Summer, U2 has one, Pedro the Lion has one, Brooks and Dunn, Sinatra, The Doors, and now Rami (maybe my favorite of them all).
Drums are spot on!
Thanx man. I haven't listened to this in about 2 weeks., so I'll give it a fresh listen and see if I agree. I hope I do because I love turning up the drums.I listened again tonight. I liked the song as much as before, but tonight I noticed the drums and I'm thinking if there was one thing that could afford to impinge ever so slightly on this tune, if there was one forgivable sin, it would be making the drums louder. It's a great tune as is, but the drums are too polite. I'll still like it even if the listener never has to pay slightly more attention (because of the drums) to pick out what the vocal's singing. I'll still like it and still forgive Rami. But they should be louder. They should be rock drums.
Good advice. I'll go back and see if I cut too much low's from the snare. I can bring up the low end on the kik no problem.Nice Work with the guitars. Snare too thin. I think "fattening" it up a little would make it sound better. Also kick drum is too sharp. Maybe a little boost at the low end will make it sound better?
