Yeah that's really for mastering you final mixdown like manning said. You may as well just copy the stereo track to a new project & run ozone in there. You'll have a lot more resources at your disposal

true. only reason I liked to do it IN the project right there, is so that All the spikes from the mix would be taken care of right away. you know? This way I think I'll have to take the overall volume down around 6db at the end, to make sure the spikes don't clip on my first mixdown (before brining Ozone into the picture). but its not a biggy really.

Was it something I said?

wait, everything is NOT all good and gravy yet.

windows media player - or anything NOT opened in a genuine audio recording program for that matter, is so messed up. haha...

1 - ANY audio opened up in another program will slow the computer down for 5-10 seconds while it loads the file - something completely new only happening with the Q10. I suspect its samples not being 24-bit 44.1? and the q10 takes forever to make this different?
2 - I made some mp3s with winlame (which took like 4 times as long as it would with the delta 44), and then played them back with windows media player. If I played them from the begininng, the entire song was slowed down - pitch shifted down as well too - AND staticy/fuzzy. it's not the mp3, because if I skip ahead at all, it's all back to normal and will play fine (of course, its still choppy when i first clip to skip ahead).

is this / are these somethings that can be fixed or am i just destined to be like this forever with the Q10!? ha. it really drives me crazy.

I suspect it's something to do with the different sample rates/bit depth.

I know if I'm playing a wav in Mediaplayer, and I open up GT3 which defaults to 24/88.2, mediaplayer will suddenly start playing at twice the speed. If I stop & restart, it's OK from then on

shack, you know lifes too short...maybe time to start thinking about a different sound card. ive exhausted all my ideas on the q10.
i would just try another soundcard and see if your probs disappear.
i'm going RME myself. just scouting out amd 64 laptops....
maybe your motherboard chipset, but i'm not sure.
only way to know is to swap for another mainboard.
i came across a "weird system" recently. friend just changed the mainboard.
problems went away.

i guess your right. haha.

but other than all the "non-recording related problems" now..it seems to be working fine. so I think i'm gonna hang onto it. That, and they are selling on ebay for even cheaper than i bought it now because of the company's situation. AND, I kinda am hoping somebody buys up aardvark or whatever - takes over - so that I can get some tech support from them..perhaps a new driver? haha!
thanks guys for all your help.
