When you budget your monitors, you may want to invest in a headphone amp like the Presonus HP4. Then you can have multiple pairs of headphones as well as your monitors hooked up at the same time. Just a suggestion though...

I`ve sold loads of these in my store.

Seem to be very popular over here, and the pre`s dont sound bad to my ears.

The software thats included is easy to use, and serves many nice functions.:)

As for mike`s I would say if you got the chance get, a dynamic and a condensor.

The AT 2020 is nice, so is the SP B1, and I`ve had nice results with the mxl v67g.

Dynamic; I would go for the shure sm57, its cheap but damn good for the price:)

Mine's been thrown around and taken to multiple locations, dropped, overloaded, etc. and it still works like a charm! Sounds like shit, but hey the "talent" should know how to work around it haha
 
I much prefer a sep. dedicated soundcard to an "interface".
It makes much more sense when the comp is dedicated to recording as well - that's the way I operate - which in & of itself is no reason to do it - but I have things set up to stay set up.
Mixing with H/phones isn't the optimal solution & give a false impression unless you're mixing for headphones.
Nevertheless the do the job for me when it's late & I can't crank things up.
