Small studio, monitors poll!

Hi, i have a small home studio 3.4x2.7 meters, and i want to get monitors.
If it's relevant, i'm going to be using it for acoustic music.
Here are all the monitors that i can get locally and are in my budget, please choose what you think is best. thanks!

I'd suggest the KRK RP6s. They have that really great KRK sound and would be idea for acoustic music. I've use these many other models of KRK in the studio and can't fault them.

I understand, but the RP6s are way above all of these in budget, i won't be able to stretch that much.

Really? They are the same price as the tapcos and the samsons in the UK. Around £150. There are the RP5s too which as still pretty good and a bit cheaper. I wouldn't suggest spending less than that on speakers (especially seeing as tho you don't have to buy an amp) and the KRKs are leagues about the rest in the price range.

Well, i wish it was like that here. Here (israel), all the monitors i posted are around 500$, and the RP6s are 1040$. I know that the prices here are so different, that's why i did a poll and didn't ask what monitor is best for a specific budget, because i'm very limited in possibilities.
Usually i buy my stuff from abroad using ebay and etc', but monitors are quite big and shipping+taxes will be to much.

So is there still something from the poll list that you would recommend?

Twice as much? Wow Israel is expensive for recording gear ... well some of it anyway. Totally understand now and wouldn't have suggested the KRKs had I know. Out of your list I'd go for the Tapcos or the Samsons, but probably the Tapcos would win. I've had friends that have got them and they do the job well enough. I'd stay clear of the Behringer stuff.

Yeah Tannoys are a favourite of mine actually, but are they mega expensive in Israel. I actually mix on some Tannoy E11 speakers thru a Quad 405 amp. I know passive speakers aren't the in thing at the moment, but I love this setup. I've always like Tannoys. Maybe have a look for some good 5" or 6" hifi speakers and a nice amp. Let's face it that's all NS10s are. Hifi speakers.

I just went to the ebay global website, and manged to find a pair of KRK RP5s (not RP6s) for 300$, free shipping. tax here is around 30% of the price, so it will be around 390$. Tapcos are 317$ here. Are the RP5s still better then the Tapcos S-5? or is it just the RP6s?

What Tannoy Reveals model are you referring to? Is it active or passive? I'm looking for active ones.

The KRK are by for the best for active speakers in that price range. I'd go with the RP5's

I'm talking about the new small active ones. Tannoy generally is a good brand.

I wouldn't recommend the RP5s. To me, they sound muddy and unreliable. The 8s are fine, but not the 5s. But I understand you're short on options, so I guess this is the best you can get under the circumstances.

I know it seems a little elitist to say "If those are your options, you're better off not getting anything at all". But depending on what you're looking to achieve, that is somewhat true. If you're fine with mediocre mixes then sure, go ahead with bad monitors. But if you think this is a hobby you're going to enjoy for a long time, why not save up and buy something you'll use for a long time, rather than keep buying and upgrading. At the end of the day, you'll waste more money doing the latter. You probably haven't tested out a lot of monitors, but once you do you'll realize how bad most small entry level monitors really sound. Not to say you can never get a good mix out of them. With a lot of practice you'll eventually learn your monitors, but it'll be a frustrating ride with lots of guess work involved.
