I've got an SM58, not a 57. Can I take mine apart too?
The 57 & 58 Also have the XLR male (connect side). The tiny flat head setscrew is reversed, so it loosens the connector as you rightey tightey. I've found these like to corrode an break after years of use. And pending on the climate where you reside. Humidity plays a big part. you might want to check that out as well as the chicken masters solution. All in all, the Shure 57s and 58s are a great tool to have in your Gear Bag.![]()
