I bought a cheap De Armond M55, the thing sounds ok, but is singlecoiled. Is it possible to change the single coil with a dual? And would it be costy/complex?

Thanks....

If you mean humbuckers then yes it's possible. Dimarzio and Seymour Duncan both make humbuckers that fit in single coil slots.

try the L-280S

it's a single coil shape, but with a stacked coil... sounds like a single coil, but is humbucking... best of both worlds.

very quiet.......

my favorite single coil

thank you guys.

Actually, it has a humbucker. Hmm, got this guitar cheap, so I'm not sure it's worth the investment, maybe I'll try to find something off ebay.... I mean, it would be nice, if I could get some tonal variation out of it.
