HEy would it be better to record with the shure sm7b in a cramped up bedroom or in an open living room? If sing in my room it sounds so dead and ugly just accapella but when i sing in living room my voice sounds alive and i have better control wat do i do??

Your voice probably doesn't "sound better" in the living room -- It's just that you're hearing the room and not necessarily your voice.

This is why everyone sounds good in the shower --

Granted -- If having that extra "help" makes you sing better, then sing in the living room.

It also depends on what you want to do with the recording. If you want to add artificial reverb, you want to record as dry as possible (bedroom, closet, etc.). If you like the natural reverb of the living room, it may work fine and need no plug-ins.
