haggling at GC...
I recently bought the GT55 at GC, I love it on my voice (similar to the types described here), though in my limited experiments with acoustic guitar I'm not drooling yet, but it may be my room and technique...
Anyway, for anyone interested in buying one at GC, I was able to get it for $150 with very nice GT shockmount being an additional $20. The price tag was $299. So, comparing apples to apples pricewise, the GT55 is kind of a steal. I'm very happy with it, but now am shopping a chinese tube mic that I can mod -- apex460/nady tcm1150, Nady tcm1050, MXL77/Nady tcm1100, MXL9000/76T. Any suggestions?
I recently used the GT55 to test the mic preamp models of the line6 Toneport UX2. The link is here:
