ive been thinking

when i get my paycheck, maybe save a few up

should i even bother thinking about buying an acoustic bass?


are acoustic bass's even worth my time to think about buying? ive played them a bit, they seem to not be very loud at all. they dwarf in comparison to normal 6-strings....maybe im just not playing them right....and if they have pickups, wouldnt it just make sense to get an electric bass? and do the pickups jack with the acoustics of them to the point where they suck? im so confused....

What you should buy is a function of what you're wanting to do.

So what is it you want to do?

Under almost all circumstances it isn't advantageous to get an acoustic bass.

Even long time legendary bass players often don't own one - because it's nearly purposeless.

i was thinking they would be cool to have around to jam on.....but.....they dont do much.....and they feel wierd, that big fatty bo batty piece o wood under the arm isnt that great when your trying to play.....



i might as well just go buy one of those mexican bass thingys
