Also anybody found any good deals on L or U shaped desks for less than $200 (around $150 or lower preferably)?
Mine was only $130 at an office supply store. It's an O'Sullivan Studio RTA. It originally had a cabinet on the right hand side to put your PC in...but I took the base off and used racks instead.

thanks everybody...

yeah it is a nice spot to work in....but I see now that it's just that.

See I only have 2 rooms, the other one is the bedroom...and although there is a little couch, my studio is not all that chill-proof...

oh well I'll be moving beginning of next year...then I'll flip it differently. :)

I was looking at the O' Sullivans. Yours looks like it would work for me. I agree, I'd ditch the cabinet for the PC too probably.

I'm looking into setting up a smaller rack...probably not as extensive as yours but enough to get the job done.

Your racks are for beats mainly, mine will be for vocals so I'm just looking to add an eq, effects processor, preamp (other than the one I have), a patchbay, compressor, and a Furman to plug it all in to. I figure having the option to go hardware or plugins might be in my interest for a better sound.

As far as beats, I'm hooked up on Reason and mad crazy amounts of refills, drumkits, and soundfonts.

Stay up and keep grindin' those beats homie,

Fiev.

i refuse to look at another one of these pics....... or i may go rob a guitar center or samash....... lol

once i get my degree in EE ill be sitting nice enough to start building up stuff like what u guys have...... for now im on a broke college student budget so thats not happening.....

good stuff guys......

got me all jealous......... im going to make some music haha

Yall make me jealous. But nice setups Mo-kay and Stray411. Stray can you give us a gear list? I can't identify everything in your racks.

Mo-Kay it seems like everybody started off with a DJX...lol I used to love mine, and I still miss the Pizzicato on it.

Damn I remember my DJX now that I think about it....everybody laughed because of the gray and black keys but had no idea what it could really do.

I'm cool with my Oxygen8 though.

The one I have is the original blue one... not the 2nd version

It's a pretty cool keyboard, some nice organs, some ok synths...stuff like that.
It's great bang-for-buck as far as playable sounds.
I wouldn't get rid of it too quickly, wouldn't get much for it so might as well keep it. Other than that...it's my MIDI controller, too...

lol yeah i got $60 bucks for mine on ebay about 3 years ago, i had the original too.

Thanks everybody.

very nice, really computer-centred, but nice, mos def.

Whatsup with those old roland "vintage synth" etc modules...how do they sound?

Nothing too big here. I do have those real big wrap around desks. This is more of my multimedia/design studio. I have an audio station on the other side of the wall for doing VO and song recordings with a sound proof wrap around. I also have 8 crates of 12" vinyl and 2 mk2's. I do all software based mixing so I dont have too much hardware stuff. Though I would share the pics. Good topic.
