I remixed it!

AlleyCat - thanks a lot.. but we both know I have ruined this classic! :D I remember when this tune came out, (I'm 30), and I have never been able to get it out of my head......until now..:D I guess you had to be there! thanks dude

VOXVENDOR - as soon as I read your comments I removed the version from Nowhere and remixed it! :D I appreciate you lending me your ears..... that was a close one!:D Hopefully it's a bit better now... If you don't feel like wasting any more time on it, that's cool. Thanks for double checkin' for me! I got carried away again.. my ears are shot!

Thats it!.... Great.... And see how that fixed the abrupt stop at the chorus.... The keys were so loud and overbearing, that it seemed like something was missing when they stopped for the chorus....

Now it's a good flow....

What are your drums?.... Are the F-Loops....... And can you quantize them?.... Some of the fills are a bit off time, especially noticable in the first fill at the beginning of the song....

It's not terrible... You could leave them, but as a fan of perfection, I would love to hear them fixed up....

Man, this is a great cover....

hey Vox, I played drum pads hooked up to a Roland TD-8. I recorded it as audio and didn't use any midi.... I was trying to play them with as much of a live feel as possible..... guess I got a bit too loose.. I didn't notice the drums being off in the beginning, but I guess it could sound that way, I was trying not to play things tooo sterile.. the guitar was recorded to a drum machine, then did my own drums playing along to just the guitar... I don't think I'll redo it because it kinda happened so quick, it was fun because I didn't get bored. I started it saturday a.m., and it was finished monday... I would just like to get the best mix I can of this, and move on to the next one! :D thanks for taking the time Vox! Your input is/was appreciated.

The drum fill at the beginning is off. You should play that bit again IMO. The producing is decent on this. The drum sounds VERY midi this time. I liked the drum sound on your last one (hold me/dead man). I think this is somewhat similar, maybe even the same, but something in the mix sounds different. Of course, I listened the other song much louder, and it tends to get a kickass effect in my head :) Maybe that's why I liked the previous one more.

The playing is very good in the solo part. I never liked the song, though. It's just awful. The production is good, but nothing can change the fact that this song is BAD. Of course somebody else can like it, and is free to do so.

I remeber this silly song back in 80´s.
I diden´t like it.

But now yeee, thats better "made loud to play loud"

I aggre about the drum fill at the beginning is off,
OK, I a see no midi thats cool! I love the toms at the chorus
always been a heavy tom lover seens I heard Ian Paice:)

Good and fast work,

max

Cranky One - You and Vox and maxc are the only people who mentioned it.....Are you talking about the fill right before the singing starts?? I layed the drums to guitar that was recorded to a drum machine, so I don't really understand how it could be off, but if you, Vox, and maxc mentioned it, I guess it is.. :(:D (all of you have near perfect recordings, but yours are closer to what I'm doing as far as heavyness) I'm suprised mixmkr didn't hear it too...or maybe he didnt notice, or feel like telling me... I thought it was just a cool snare drum roll.... :confused:I don't know if I'll bother redoing it because the song already served it's purpose.... I sent it to a girl and it made her laugh! :D I'm already on to the next tune... Unless that drum fill really starts to annoy me, (it is starting to now that 3 people mentioned it:D) I don't think I'll bother redoing it.. but I might... I wish you heard it earlier because I would have immediately re-did the drums.. I used the same set but I tweaked it.......and apparently made it worse.... that sux :( At least I had some fun on this one....I guess..........but that drum fill is now rrrrrreally starting to annoy me now that it was mentioned.....thanks for the ears Cranky One, I do trust your opinion... Yeah, I guess if you hate the original, you'll hate this! :D thanks man...

maxc - hey max, thanks! I'm thinking I might have to fix that drum in the beginning... I didn't notice it until it was mentioned.. I think my ears are frying fast! :D... This was a lot of fun, and it went quick, but I really should have done better with the drums.. thanks a lot for your ears.....it is appreciated..

I will never leave poorly played drums on a song again! :D (I hope)

hey Sabb. I always check out your stuff but I missed this one.what the fuck is this???? I agree that the original song sucks! your version is better, but I still hate the song. The guitar was good, but I just hate this song too much.

Cuz your friends don't mix and if they don't mix well they're no friends of mine...

Nice work man. Regardless if someone likes that song or not, that must have been a shitload of fun!

Satch - thanks for forcing out some feedback!:D I guess you had to be there.. If you put up a tune that I don't like, I'll always give you some feedback no matter what...... I appreciate it much!

SLuiCe - thanks man! :D This was actually the most fun I ever had recording a tune.. I'm glad it came through. I'm going to check out your tune shortly and I'll post comments in your thread.. thanks man.

Let's see, you need:
1. medevial village
2. A may pole
3. Some dwarfs

Then you can redo the video:D

Hmmm, I feel the need to look at my pants.
-Angermeyer

Angermeyer- :D thanks for the listen dude

SLuiCe - that's a cool thing to hear, thanks! :D

I really liked the Men Without Hat's tune.

You're sound like Limp Bisquick doing a hatchet job on it and handing it to Black Oak Arkansas to finish it off.

IOW...way KEWL!!

BTW...I'm listening to this on LoFi, and it STILL sounds good!

Hey Sab,
I've been outta town so long that I never heard the original version but from what eveyone says I guess I really didn't miss much. I really liked the guitar and especially the way it cranks off at the beginning. I'l definitely be keeping an eye out for your stuff in the future.
Thanks,
el jordo

Shaky Tee - thanks dude! Your one of the very few people (like me,) who actually like the original:D

jordokid - thanks man!

Waldo done brought tha server down..
I'll try it again in awhile.

This should be GREAT!!!!

That Way Kicks Ass !

Enough said. You rock brother and I even liked the original version, but this takes something mediocre and turns it into a screaming demon. Great work man, Peace, Silver

VI - I thank you for trying, I hope your not too dissapointed if you get a chance to hear it...:D

silverhammer - appreciate the comments dude! :D

Ok..I Heard It..And...

THIS VERSION COMPLETELY ROCKS!!!!

This is a fantastic cover of a song that I despise.

The very fact that I enjoyed this version says it all.

And the tone/effects on the guitar were just perfect.

BSABBATH-You are a true brutha in the cover family!

:D
