Rme hdsp 9652

Hi guys,

I'm planning to buy the RME HDSP 9652 PCI card and some hi end mic pre instead of buying some of the RME Fireface units.
First of all is that a good idea and second of all do I need AD/DA converters or the card has its own quality converters?

Haven't used one, but from the research I've done, it looks like you need converts that output ADAT to do any useful multitracking.

Yup it make sense! Maybe RME 9632 would be a better option cause it has its own analog I/O and AD/DA converts...
