repeat effect

Hey there,

How do you do this effect---

The lyrics go like -

2NE1 - Hate You clip.mp3 - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage

Put your hands up, Put your hands up
Put,put,put,put,put....
So, I was wondering if there any effect that had been applied for the 'put,put,put,put,put' part. You know like, that one word repeats...it's used in many songs like here again-

in the ch-ch-ch-ch part and then sa-sa-sa part.

I hope you got me. Lol. I really want to do this effect.

Please let me know if you know how to do it!!
 
You cut the part of the waveform that you want, and you manually duplicate it; At least, that's how i'd do it.

I'm gona spare everyone the embarrassment of double posting for comedic effect.
 
lol. you must be Korean considering you used 2NE1 as a reference. haha. Like steenamaroo said, all you really do is cut the part u want to repeat and just put it in a manner that corresponds to your desired rhythm.
 
I've actually heard the song you're talking about, I'm bit of a K POP fan. I always thought she did that herself, doesn't sound like any studio trickery to me.
 
It is a tough one to call between her doing that herself and the old cut and paste ..... but after giving it a listen I would say cut and paste.

It would be easier to figure out though if the effect is done again within the song with instruments being involved and present for you would hear the stuttering of the instruments as well ~ for the dead give away of studio magic - magic - magic. ;)
 
Wasn't he around the same time as *where's the beef* lady?
 
I killed this stone dead with bad comedy until stupid Pkay came along and ruined it!
