Recording midi files to tape. Can You?

Can I record a windows run midi file onto
a tape, then run that tape and my guitar through a small PA just to jam with? Also can
you edit the midi file, some have that corny
lead synth thing going. Thanks

Run the line out of your synthesizer to the line in of your tape deck.

So, you say- I don't have a synthesizer.
Then your soundcard has a synthesizer built in or you're not listening to MIDI files.

Once it's on tape you can do what you want with it. To edit the .mid file you'll need a MIDI editor.
CW makes a really good one. An old version is all that you'll need. Even CW 3 will work well.
Don't throw in the towel just yet.
