I just bought an 8pre, XP environment. I got it seeing all 8 input no problem, but I tried recording drums at very low levels (peaks were -24dB), and the playback was phase crazy and distorted to speaker-damaging levels of clip. I flipped to Audition, no changes to the mechanicals, and got a flawless take.pipelineaudio said:The developer is a MOTU nut...which model do you have? It should be working fine. Are you using the ASIO drivers for it in REAPER?

When someone says..."$40...how can you go wrong?"... I ignore that statement.
Hi_Flyer said:I'm sorry but there IS a big difference b/t $40 and $400. ESPECIALLY when it comes to software. Spending big $$ on software is DUMB. It will be obsolete in a year or two or three...
thats besides the point anyway. Reaper is awesome PERIOD. not just, "for the money".
