sends, returns, inserts, etc.
Good at my inserts. They're fine. if I understand in theory, you set up reverbs as an effects send and they're more efficient. But is that just adding an effects track? I'm not sure how i route stuff through that.

Strict Tempo. Album recorded solely on his Strat. Solely consisting of Irish trad and Scottish tunes.

Trust you to go straight for the greatest hits, though, right?

I don't own any of his stuff so obviously yeah. Lets see you guess your way through metallicas back catalogue. Now really, I'm fed up with this, I'm trying to learn how to fix my action and/or about effects sends and returns.

The difference being, I don't make stupid claims about Metallica. Christ, you really can't follow a line of thought, can you?

Nobody made claims about Richard Thompson except you... I showed some understanding of music you deem relevant, you do not reciprocate. So it looks like you're the one whos confused. Like this face ->

Fuck you. You can have this poxy BBS.

I'd like to think I tried to help people here, but fuck it, you make my time spent on this forum as difficult as my life in the real world. Just fuck it - there ya go, you bastard. One more part of my life you've destroyed. I haven't been able to play guitar in peace for years. Every thing I do in life, you come trailing after me, doing it badly and expensively. Three months on a subject and you think you wrote the book. You're insufferable, you arrogant little prick. Get it into your head: YOU HAVE NO SENSE OF RHYTHM, PITCH OR EVEN ART.

So, I'll leave you to it.

Give my best to anyone who's left who cares. It was nice knowing you.

Calm down fella's. 32-20, no need to bail because of a little spat. Are you guys brothers by any chance?

Yeah hes my brother, I figured you knew?

Travis, did you hear this joke? It's coming up on closing time in a New York bar. There's only two guys in the place. Both have had a few drinks.

One says to the other 'Hey, whats your name?'

The other replies 'Murphy. Patrick Murphy'

First fella takes another drink 'I'm a Murphy myself! Where are you from'

The second guy wanders over and replies 'Ireland, and yourself?'

First guy raises his glass in a toast 'Aye, Ireland, Donegal man myself.'

Second guys eyes open 'Donegal? Sure I'm Donegal too! Wherebaouts?'

First guys buys 'em both drinks 'You don't say? Letterkenny, Co. Donegal'

Second guy looks on, equally amazed 'Sure amn't I a Letterkenny man myself!'

They carry on this way with another half a dozen pints between them. The phone rings..the owner is checking in with the barman. Barman reports back 'Nope Boss, everythings quiet....just the Murphy twins getting pissed again''. :)

I thought so too, figured if he was really pissed he'd have said something to me in person - I was in the next room! Best leave it though.

I often notice the annoying hammer-on of notes when I start a run up past the twevth fret; you know, when you put your fingers in place right before you paly the note? Sounds kind of...odd. Main culprit is the A string I believe.

Also...if my notes are sharp at the twevth fret I move the sadlles...backwards right?

I have heard that; it's the string ringing between the fret behind where you are fretting and the nut. It can be especially annoying at the12th and 13th frets because the ringing will be a half step sharp or flat from the note you are playing. If you mute the string below the fretted note (sortalike how you have to do when playing slide), that will take care of it.

It's something I notice alot on a bass....if you go from playing the low E to a G on the third fret...string seems to hit the fretboard kinda hard.

I solved this issue with my bass playing by (1) getting a better bass, a 1962 Jazz RI. and by (2) using medium gauge strings instead of lites... much better sound now!
