You're right, I should have included that with my post. I suck at writing responses when I'm multitasking lol.
Blue Bear Sound said:What a load of nonsense.... MetalHead is right.... the term "producer" is thrown around a lot, particularly in the Hip-Hop genre - although in fairness, they use the term "produca" instead of "producer".....
I didn't make that term up -- it's used all over the place by forumites into hip-hop..... apparently, you're not as well-informed as you'd like to beleive.Mo-Kay said:"produca"...how unfunny can you get
That's EXACTLY what I did -- corrected the bullshit....... problem is, there's a lot of it being spewed across the forums...........Mo-Kay said:Stop the ignorant shit, and if you think somebody else is ignorant...tell them something usefull.
I'm someone that, along with the other pros here, tries - most often without success -- to correct the amazing amount of bullshit being spread around these forums........Trumpspade said:Who in the Hell are you?
Um.... this is the Mixing/Mastering forum..... NOT the Hip-Hop forum......Mo-Kay said:about the only time the non-hiphop-making people come into that section is when they are in aa "hey let's act silly and mock the hip hoppers"-mood.

Okay who in 'her have seen, whatz dat movie?...Aww. It be called Hustle and Flowww.
I was excited about that movie. It was advertised as being a documentary style look at a black man's struggle to make a worthwhile record from a home studio, basically.
Uh...Wrongk
It scared the shit out of me. I hated the way it made me feel. I have worked with rock, pop, christian, and hip-hop in my studio, and I saw patterns in the way the characters acted in the movie and how I can remember that type of bullshit in my studio. I feel so much pain for the urban community that Hustle and Flow represents. What the fuck is wrong with as Ross Perot accidentally put it, "you" people? Why would you want to work towards acting like a "straight playah hatin' dem motha f***in tricks yo?" For real. What is the reason? Why would gang activity be fun and exciting? Why promote that activity or even condone it? Is it out of straight fear for "yo" life? Why would you want to live that way?
lets make some things *opinions of my own* clear
Bluebear is a self righteous dickhead if I have ever seen one
Bluebear has a brilliantly laid out studio and the knowledge to back it up...it isn't a home studio. He is kind of like Bill Gates working at Best Buy.
Unfortunately, "da urbn community gunna luh dis one"
Stereotypes are FUCKING REAL!
As a follower of sociology and a believer in political studies and especially urban communities...
Stereotypes come into existence because of truths. Using Stereotype as a word to go against something isn't correct.
One definition of stereotype is: One that is regarded as embodying or conforming to a set image or type.
The definition isn't...."Lie...it be uh lie!"
Why does the urban community morph global conditions and problems into the size of their hood? That is what people do to feel significant under poverty levels.
Okay, "ooooooo KAyyyyyy..."(I couldn't resist). I can accept that, but why are rich intelligent folks like ...you know...big produca's like P. Diddy (who by the way is a produca, by definition) support this bullshit.
Why does the hip-hop/urban community insist on adding jargon to the english language, substituting words for others...adding new meanings to words. Speaking in code.
In my studio, I'm like...Okay, so after the 1st chorus is the delay going to disappear.
He says, "Bet."
I'm like what, "fo' sho."
Then I say, okay, I'm gonna lose the delay after it.
He says, "Bet."
Finally when he mumbles other strange connections between words, I say, I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you are saying, will you just say it?
The thing that makes me mad, is this isn't an uneducated "foohl". I went to college with this guy. He has been slowly trying to turn into a super cool "nigga, that hustle caws he nehver struggle."
WHY is this bullshit in order? And why is the critism taken so negatively? What is wrong with thinking it is a bit peculiar for folks to randomly accept words being replaced with other words. Who needs a pimp, when you have a player...which then can't even f****ng stay player...must turn to playuh.
I heard a song that says, Shoot the club up.
OH...MY. HOW COOL! Shoot my kid sister who is listening to music and dancing with her friends.
666 Mafia, "My baby need shoes, bitch you got the game wrong."
WOW! THAT IS A GREAT WAY TO LIVE.
STEREOTYPING...I think not.
But yeah, BlueBear is a dick!
Mo-Kay said:You people are seeing this thing WAY TOO black and white.
In the traditional sense...Blue Bear is right about the term "producer".
But let's face the fact that the music world has changed a lot over the years.
The things a rock/pop producer does, might not be the same things a hip hop producer does, or a dance producer for that matter.
A lot of composing, producing, "remixing" (YES in the modern sense of the word) overlaps nowadays... the term producer HAS changed when it comes to certain musical genres. If you disagree, go tell Madlib, or go tell Laurent Garnier.
And I wish people everybody around here (that means you too, Blue Bear..."produca"...how unfunny can you get) would stop pigeonholing everybody, stop being so condescending to each other, and stop being so narrowminded when it comes to "other" genres.
Stop the ignorant shit, and if you think somebody else is ignorant...tell them something usefull.
