How long is he out of town for? I leave Saturday for a month. My computer usage for that month is going to be REALLY minimal.

Exactly... this PMC thing (even if it IS the first one I entered, and I STILL don't know how or what I did right/wrong), is one of the coolest things that the music community/internet has done in a while... I know everyone involved really loves it, and it's unfortunate that the results were delayed, but no one involved is getting paid for it... it's all a labor of love and generousity... Thanks to those that give up their time (and tracks) for it.

That said, I still check for results a couple of times a day..... HURRY UP!!!!!! Confirm my loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D

I started this PMC thing as a way for people to interact and learn from one another.

Ive already got the PMC 12 tracks ready to go.
Just need MShil to get back to post the results, and were on our way.

OH btw, if any of you are interested in judging PMC12 let me know

Heres a mshil mail he sent me just before he left.

"I'm leaving on vacation later today for two weeks . . . should I release scores with just two judges?"

Of course i said yes but apparently i was too late.

So i believe we are looking at about another 7-12 days.

I can however, say screw all that and just release a result as to what me and my secondary here at Geomana tallied up to being the top 10.

You guys decide. Wait, or get it now.

I vote for waiting Chris. A few more days won't matter none especially when everyone knows why they are waiting. Overall everyone has been reel patient, including yourself. I'm impressed. While we wait, lets all go out and buy some new hardware! Yeah baby :D :D
 
Yeah, I vote to wait too. Reason being...

The results from two judges could end up being slightly misleading because the other judge could have ranked quite differently. Not that you guys are unbalanced or anything, but judging is partly a matter of opinion, and that, as humans go, will always differ. (Gee, I hope I didn't open up a can of worms here.) It could give someone false hope.

On the other hand, using Bruce's scoring system, we get to see each judges rankings anyway.

Hell's Bells! Now, I can't decide.

I think we need three judges to help us decide what to do here. :D

Naah, try OSA PwrRack (powered 11 slot box!) filled with Averils and some API 560s, 525s and vintage 550As...... uhmmmm... :D

Also some Neve 1073 and 1084 modules would be good.. and why not Millenia HV-3D-8 and Mercury M72s and few distressors and URIE 1176s and LA-2As and... and... sigh :p
 
I think I was judging the songs mostly on what I imagine the person who submitted the mix looks like. There are a lot of ugly people submitting songs.

Are we using that scoring system for PMC#11???? I'd like that.... Even if you don't win, you at last know your strong and weak points...

that was my understanding.......and honestly, it was one of the reasons i did this one (the other reason being i finally came across a PMC before it closed :D). i've never expected that i would win, or even come in the top 10......but i definitely want feedback on what/how i'm doing. i know my mixes have some issues, but if you'd see my room, you'd be surprised that i can even hope for something to translate. :p

I didn't say I treated good looking people favorably. I'm thinking of starting a new forum for the visually unpleasant.
 
i think the judges are just making sure that you didnt use any EQ on your mixing. If you didnt and used alot of r.e.v.e.r.b instead then you will probably be within the top ten.
