Make no mistake - judging is way, way easier than mixing. I only have thirtysome choices to make times seven for categories, versus an infinite array of possibilities for the mixer. Y'all had the hard part

as the risk of sounding like a kiss-ass, I have to second this. thanks tons to the band for 1) writing and performing a song that was nice to "sit through" repeated listens on (and generally quite good) and 2) allowing us to use their tracks. thanks to finster for making the tracks *usable* in the first place (i thought they were quite well recorded) and for providing them to us--as well as posting a mix right off the bat, so folks like myself didn't have to decide whether we wanted to download half a gig worth of raw tracks sight-unseen. and thanks to all of you poor souls who have to listen to our atrocious takes on this tune.

this was my first PMC and i had a blast with it. it was a lot of fun getting to mix something that 1) isn't mine for a change and 2) sounded good. when's the next one?
