PT HD CORE PCIX or PICExpress?

Hi,

Is PCIX noticeably slower compare to PCI-express?
Is it worth to buy PCIX just to start? Im a Protools beginner.

Any other major difference besides speed? cons? pros? please need help.

Can I wait more time and save and get the PCIE?

I'd go PCIe every time.

Digi tried to drop support for PCIx about a year ago so I dare say they will drop support very soon.

In fact, pci express is the conventional standard for everything these days.

In fact, PCI or PCIx was superseded years ago by PCI express.

Trying to get a PCI component is like trying to buy a VHS copy of a movie.

on another note, if youve never used pro tools before, then i wouldnt recommend investing thousands of dollars just yet.
It will cost literally like 3000 dollars for the absolute cheapest hardware accelerator + the cheapest PT HD interface.
