muzeman: Hi Pete I don't want to stop you doing anything... I can't imagine harmonica in this song.. not now it's had the 80's Gidge treatment ;) but then how do you know till you try ? On the other hand "Open Jam" is crying out for harp. If you can put something together that sounds like an improvement, for *any* of my music, go to it ! I promise I'll let you know if I don't like it ;)

erichenryus : Kids are a lot of fun ! glad I could "help". My sons now 2.5 and his favorite passtime is pressing all the buttons on my TD-8... it kinda freaks me out sometimes but he hasn't busted anything *yet* and I like to let him play. I keep waiting to see if all my patches get scrubbed or he flukes some amazing sound :D It's all those illuminated buttons .... maybe this gear habit is genetic ? .................... soooo did you find any suitable B3 sounds ? It'd be great to hear anything you've come up with.

Hey Dres,
........nice tune man. I like the song writing and the bass sounds great. The vocs have a touch of a wierd room sound to them. ...you might wanna work on the mids in this as well. Some of the vocs get just a touch harsh.......

Great stuff man.

Test 4 is up.....

theres 2 stereo files.....one has the 2 clean guitars hard left and right.....one has the distorted guitars hard left and right.....the distorted one has an obvious edit...i recorded thru the whole take with a fair bit of distortion and for one part it REALLY didnt work.....

if ya can, throw these two together with your original mp3, they should line up.....see if there are any mix issues that would keep the parts from working.....if everything is ok, Test 5 will be the keeper.....

keep in mind these parts are completely dry with no EQ except for a low cut....you can do whatever you wish to fit them in.....

many after we get all our irons out of the fire, me, you, and muzeman can have a 3 way........

collaboration that is.......

Guernica : Thanks for your comments. I really enjoyed playing bass for this. It was a pleasant break from doing the drums (major hassle). I think I know what you mean about the vocals... I'll have a closer listen on my next mix and try and fix the things you suggest.

Gidge: I've downloaded the files but will have to wait till tonight to mix them in. Thanks for your hard work. Who knows I might have a try and some vocal additions tonight too.

just keep in mind that these tracks are just to see if theyll fit in, so just do a premix nad let me know....i will re-track them a tad cleaner if needed.....

and if you need 4 separate files instead of 2 stereo i can do that too....let me know what you need.....

i wish i could sing because i hear the harmony in my head, along with all the other voices....:D

Hey if you have harmony ideas .. maybe play them on guitar and post them. I need all the help I can get.

ok, the melody of the Chorus starts out :

E E E E D C# B C# C#......

how far above that E can you hit?.......

Yikes... now your getting technical . I'm just about to go home so I'll work it out in a few hours. Just remember I'm not John Schlit ! :D
