I am wanting to put together a Professional sounding rig and can't afford a Protools TDM system yet. I have been given a couple of options: Nuendo with a Motu 1296 on PC and DP3 with a Motu 1296. Any word on these as a solid pro combination?

Nuendo is a pro program. Works for me :)

cheers

Your ability to get pro results will be more dependent on you than on your gear.

Does Nuendo suck at MIDI? I always thought it just wasn't as complete as Cubase. ProTools certainly lacks in the MIDI dept. DP3 seems like an awesome way to go, if you use macs. If not, Nuendo is a great program, I enjoy it.
