Hey bud
I've been Monitor shopping for the last month or so
tried out the PM0.4's,
For starters, as you will have figured for their size, they wont blow the house down.
BUT...
Overall volume is respectable, but it does start to fray in the low end when you push them, though I was quite impressed with the bass response from them, quick enough but still with some body to the sound.
The midrange is a little softer in the balance than i liked, but I cant claim it was a intensive trial of them as I was going through different sets of monitors, listening with a Mp3 of a mix I had done prior so that I knew roughly what it sounded like.
quick aside, I have the PreSonus Fireproject (older but very similar model to the FP10) and love it, really lovely preamps and I'm getting great sounds from it, so hopefully the FP10 should stand you in good stead.
Regarding anything else you might need, aside from the probably obvious things like mic stands and decent quality leads.
Something I only bought recently is
the PreSonus Faderport.
its a cute little USB Fader/volume control. doesn't sound like much i know, and you may want to check compatibility with Reaper (I use logic and it just plug n played) but the ability to have a real tactile control over the levels and pans of your mix beyond the mouse click/drag, was something I found to be a real pleasure.
Its definitely not an essential, and for an extra 100 clams probably not a right away purchase...
but anyway thats my 2 cents worth
best of luck with it all man
