Pre-amp for DP-02 ?

I've never used a 2488, so I can't really say how the mixer portion of it works or how well the preamps are in it. The Yamaha can still be used for various patching needs or extra inputs. Congrats on the Yamaha by the way. They make some nice equipment.

Thanks, yes your right the yamaha can be used for that. Everyone seems to be giving good reports on the 2488 neo. I might start another thread on that very subject.

Wonder if a battery powered condenser mic would have enough kick to it?

BTW, I just "won" two DP02s on Ebay, but they won't have power supplies- can someone give me the specs on the power supply- all I know is that they're 12 V.

Sorry, just saw this post. You should be able to find the specs on Tascam's website. I would use at least the given amperage or higher. I do believe you are correct on the 12V. I think you can even order the power supplies for fairly cheap too, direct from Tascam.
