Daaaaaaaamn, that looks nice!

The Gulfstream V cockpit looks a lot less complicated than that console. Come to think of it so does the B-777.

If it sounds anything like it looks it should be pumping out Grammy's by the dozen.:)

Blue Bear:

Hey, Dream Theater recorded there! They did "Images and Words" and "Scenes from a Memory" in that very studio.

If anyone wants to know how that studio sounds, pick up those albums (especially SFAM)! You won't be disappointed!

say what... you need to add more zero's.. thats the $1,000,000 dollar Sony oxford.. not $100,000..

You're right, I typed it wrong. Not sure where I got 100K. I meant 1000K. :)

the oxford.. i belive is 96 full ("in-line" capable) channels, plus 12 stereo return channels.

Yep :) And according to Sony's technical support, you can link two together. egads!

although a mackie d8b can do almost everything it can.. the D8b is under 10,000 and the oxford is 1,000,000

Yes, but the oxford has a larger control surface and displays more information to the operator.

i know someone building their new studio with a Neve 88R.. thats gonna be nice..

I wish. I truly wish.

Yep, I have a DT video with several shots of them working in that studio. Very nice.

Lazi,

That looks like a space shuttle cockpit more than a studio! It's pretty bad ass though! Nice......very nice!

If I could have anything I wanted; this would almost do.

I'm considering this colour scheme for the soon-to-be-relocated Blue Bear Sound....

Thats Joe Egans Place isn't it? Very nice color scheme. So are you keeping the Mackie console when you move in to the new facility or did you decide to move up to a large format console?;) So, Bruce, have John post the floor plan and construction pics at his site like he did for Sjoko's.
