Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum so here's a quick intro: I'm a Software Developer of trade and make some music in my spare time. Mainly guitar and some keys. I have a small studio at home where I really just sit around and make music.
I've been playing around in the studio with Cubase, Ableton Live and Reaper. I recently bought an Akai MPK Mini IV and that's how I got into Ableton, which I really enjoy for its simplicity. I also like the Studio Instrument Collection plugin by Akai which comes with the MPK. My problem is that when I use this plugin instrument in my Ableton projects, from time to time the selected preset in Studio Instruments Collection gets unselected for some reason. The plugin instrument is still assigned to the track, but the preset isn't selected anymore, so no sound is produced. Sometimes the entire plugin instrument panel is greyed out, so I have to completely remove it from the track, and add it again. This is annoying because sometimes I can't remember which preset it was, and I have to scroll through hundreds of presets again to find the right one. I also lose all my parameter changes on that preset.
Has anyone else experienced this?
