Ok ive got it recorded down and everything seems to sound ok . Being that I cant individually trck the drums I have everything on one giant track say i was able to sample the kick how would I go about doing it even though its all on one track. Should I sample behind the track to give the kick an extra boost? Like I said before I'm using cool edit pro.

Well, I'm not familiar with CEP; I've used a Demo version of it awhile back, but haven't seriously played around with it.

Can you do a "Lowpass filter", and Low Pass the Kick only to another track?
Then you could use this to "trigger" the kick sample.

I don't know a whole lot about Computer recording. One of the reasons that I wanted Non-PC recording, was because I can Patch in all thie goodies anywhere that I want them.

Yeah that is true if I had a break out box with at least four channels it might make things a bit easier but being that i'm a bit low on funds right now I have to suffer with what i've got thanx for the info. If any one else has suggestions please let me know.

He might need more Muffling in the Kick drum.
It seems to me that The Tool kick sound has more "Thump" in it than you would get with just a towel.
Try a piece of Foam about 3" thick, like a Foam Pillow.
