Plugin organization

Does anyone know of a way to easily manage plugins? I'm refering not to including/excluding via the Sonar plugin manager, but organizing the plugins into different "folders". Personally, I like to have my plugins broken up by who made them, and this is easy enough to do in Wavelab, but I can't seem to find a way in Sonar. Any suggestions?
 
That's the way they come up for me already - although I don't know what I did to make it happen.

If I right click on the FX bin, I get a window with Audio Effects. Selecting Audio Effects brings up a second window which is split into top and bottom. The top lists individual plugins where I have just one from a manufacturer, while the bottom has a list of manufacturers.

Agh, it's probably easier to just show you a screen shot - but like I said, I didn't do anything special to get it this way.

I think there's an option for this somewhere in the Plugin Manager. Have a look (I'm not at my DAW right now)...

Yes, the same *usually* happens for me, but not always. I'd also like to be able to possibly break up plugins within the manufactuers folder. Example wise : Waves installs a LOT of enteries - all the different variables for C1, the limiter, etc - it would be nice to be able to just group all the C1 enteries (i.e. mono , stereo, etc) into a FX drop down (WAVES/C1 for example)...

I can't seem to find it :/ The only options I can see are to include or exclude the plugins, and to also change their "Friendly" name...
 
Hey dachay, this is off topic but I see in your picture that you have some vertical lines that descend from your measures on the track view... I've posted a query on how to (if possible) do this because that would really help me when editing, to move clips to the exact time they're supposed to be in. How do you do this??!! Can you do anything more than whole notes (each measure)?! I would love to have vertical lines (a grid like the piano roll view) for at least quarter notes (eight's would be awesome too!!)

Well... back to the topic.

Left click on the time ruler and choose View Options. Then select the Display Vertical Rules checkbox. Since there is no option for setting increments, I assume Whole Measures is the only choice you have.

However you can set the snap to grid to finer increments (32nd's in fact).
 
Thank you once again dachay2tnr. I'll select the vertical rules from now on.

The snap to grid function is cool, BUT... For editing drums for example I need to cut a hit that's off tempo in four tracks (I record 2 overheads, a snare and a kick) and then slide it manually to where I feel it sits well... sometimes not precisely in the beat but maybe a couple of ticks away so it doesnt sound too robotic while sounding really tight. For this, the snap is just not useful, but a grid (hopefully customizable to 8th, 16th maybe even triplets) would be incredibly useful, especially considering that for these edits, I need to enlarge the view (zoom) to where it is hard to see the little quarter note divisions on the ruler on top of my screen... most of the time they're not even on the screen. IMHO, this should be considered for version 3.0.

Had a chance to see if this is actually in plugin manager :) Or do I have to suffer with leaving plugings the way they decide to sort/organize themselves in the menu? :(
