She just found another pole to swing on that,s a little shorter than that one.

And Billy Im not sure if you want to hear me sing and try to play guitar. Its not pretty.

LOL

If you wanna hear bad wait till I can post.
I make Tom Waits sound like a choir singer.

The art is often in the trying Herm.

:)

By the way Billy Im headed to Deltronics on sataurday with my 388.

As uttered by Herm,
Now its time to try and get a descent sound out of my cheap Bass

Try laying down something on the bass along with your shinny new professional sounding, drum track, post it again and we'll see what we can do to get that up to snuff too!

Cheers! :)

As stated by Billy,

I bet you're not as bad as you make your self out to be!

I am looking forward to hearing your stuff!

Perhaps, one day, we can work on a collaboration, now that you have thrown those little leaches to the wind.

You have broken ties with them, haven't you?

Cheers! :)

GHOST-Sometimes when someone says they suck you have to believe them...This is one of those times. LOL

At some point I'd love to take a 456 and like send it to Herm with a cassette version of a song and a few seperate money orders and like he could track the drum part on his 38, take a money order and send it along to you (Ghost) for bass and vocals (Or whatever you'd like to lay down) then you could take a money order and send it to the next person with a 38 to track something and then back to me to do like rythem guitar, then from me off to whoever would mix it. That would be cool as heck!
(Someday)

Well the leeches and I are playing silent treatment with one another which is great 'cus I like to do my talking face to face while I collect the rest of my gear, but all the same..It's over.

HERM-That's cool, they do solid work. Parking is the only shortcoming, but it's not impossible either.

Hey, did you guys grab a look at Wildflowers 388 problem?
Poor guy was sitting in here waiting for hours lastnight.

:)

Hey Billy you dont need to send me any money. Im on board any time to do some recording.

We could always take a old blank reel and just put about 10 minutes of tape on it to save on the shipping cost.

I have all kinds of empty reel,s

Ah. Good idea.

I have a bunch of empty reels too.

I still would want to cover the shipping, but it would be cheaper with your idea.

When I get a board you can be the drummer for sure.
I think it'd be a blast.

Thanks Herm

:)

So what,... the internet-reel-tape-distance-collab??

Ha. We'll show those P5'ers, with their zippy-files!

Analog people can do that too, if they're motivated enough!;)

Ha. We'll show those P5'ers, with their zippy-files!

I have lots of blank reels too! Hey, come on guys, lets get this ball rollin:D

AND, I'm motivated! Soooo, how do we do this. Who is interested?

I'm not set up yet, but I will be soon. And all ll I can offer is guitar work though. 30yrs playin is my only credentials. And not all that time was spent playing. But I sure would like to give it a shot. I too think it would be funner than hell.

Anyway we can set up a timecode or click track or do we start with drums? Or what.

Man I'm jazzed!! I've said this here a few times myself I believe.

Guys, I have two synched 16 tracks. I would love to get this stuff on em somehow.
Any ideas? Or any way we can do this is A OK with me.

fitZ:D

Format, FITZ, format!

We'd have to decide on a common format, f/i, 1/2"-8-track, which most of the people on this site seem to be based in.;)

- I'm sure you knew that, though. -;)

I'm down for it in the future 'cus I have no board yet (I'm getting closer), but heck, yeah you guys should fire it up and set it loose.

Go Cubs!

:)

Dude if you scored that cheap and it worked you'd be the man!
It makes no mention of the power supply though.
(But I suppose you could find one)

Is this the other one you were talking about Rick?

:)

1/2"-8-track, which most of the people on this site seem to be based in

Cool, I'l bid on one today:D Ha! I'll do whatever I have to. Even give up a tool!
Say, which would you get if it were you, 38 or TSR? Actually, for quality, I think
the 8 tracks are probably better than the 16 track. AND we could put a time code on it, right? That means, when we fill one set of 7 tracks, I can always dump it to one of the 16's for mixdown later. AND....AND..... Man o man, am I getting excited. I'd EVEN pay for a airline ticket for the "mixer" to come and mix. Cause my ears SUCK!! OK, OK, I know I'm getting ahead of myself:D I'm a Saggitarrius. Ha! Does that explain it?

HOLY MOLY! You guys are answering my prayer!

Well, I better shut up now.

Billy, don't worry about the mixer. Theres something happening you don't even know about yet. Check who just bid. I'm leaving for LA the day the auction closes, to pick up my tools in LA. San Jose is right on the way.

Anyhooos.......TELL ME MORE GUYS!!

One of my questions was about the powersupply. I'm not sure how much they cost and if it doesn't have one that would be a factor in my bidding/BIN on this board. Her email being screwed up kinda' makes me nervous also. I just got over an ebay scam from a guy that tried to do a chargeback on my Triton I sold him on ebay. Fortunately it worked out but I'm still a little nervous...

See Ya
Dennis

PS Hope you get the other 520 !!!

I'm watching that 520, too.

The thing about the seller's email-disconnect had me a bit worried too. I've also been scammed on Ebay! Someone who only accepts cashiers checks and money orders worries me, too! Part of the scam I got taken for $89 on revolved around the seller not wanting Paypal payment, but insisting on a Postal Money Order instead, then -poof- disappearing with the money.

I had e-'d this immediate seller when the M520 listing opened, to ask about the power supply. Can't get through. Email is undeliverable, no such user. This doesn't reflect well on the seller, however, if it seemed to be missing the power supply upon pickup date, then IMO it would be legitimate to walk away from this deal, post-bid.

Just say, "Hey, selling "as-is" is one thing, but this is an incomplete system! An M520 is a mixer that includes a separate power supply. C'ya!"

Otherwise, you could end up with a $500/100lb DOORSTOP!

Hi guys, I've emailed her three times with questions. I won't bid more than what I already have without any answers though. If it did not have a power supply, well...
I don't know. But who knows, for cheap$ might end up with something good.
That remains to be seen.

Yeah Rusty,
I read about your and Reels Ebay nightmare in the Cave.
That kind of stuff scares me. I'd go Charles Bronson on someone!

LOL
