Only 2 posts and you've already got a mic complete with stand and pop screen! Dude you even have an HP computer...you're so hooked up! I think you need to invest in a mic cable though unless you've got a wireless set up there :D

Ive heard about a great shockmount with some PVC pipe and some rubber bands....

I certainly hope you washed those panty hose before using them... :eek:

I was gonna make a smartass comment until I thought back on it and realized that at one point I had a plastic radioshack mic eletrical taped to a hockey stick blade and shoved the stick between my bed and the wall to hold it up, all going into an 1/8 inch mic input on my built in soundcard running acid pro. I think i was actually more creative back then.

we all started there, and worse. Once upon a time i had a little cassette tape recorder and my version of mixing was to have the whole band play in the room and place the tape recorder on the ground in the room and work with the distances of everyone from the recorder in the hopes that theyd be the right level. ghetto rigs can be beautiful though.

wow thats better gear then I got, well I have very little i just steal gear from people.

Nice gear dude!!

Question: Who writes on the walls? It seems like someone has been doing arithmetics on the wall... WEIRDDDDDd

(DID YOU KNOW) : For simple arithmetic operations, you can use your Microsoft Windows Calculator. You can access it from

Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Calculator

That's not a whiteboard, it's a carefully tuned narrowband Hexinhoff articulator. Those markings are the derivitive frequency components in nanoflats of the articulation modulation carrier, provided by the computer to the right.

He was just having fun, no need to be an asshole. And in his defense it pretty much looks like jibberish whether its a language or not, hell there are plenty of "notes" written by myself in english that I could barely read so freakin lighten up or you won't last 2 seconds on this board.

Lol, this reminds me of duct taping a SM48 to my desk with a whiteboard eraser under it to angle it up so I could record my acoustic guitar back in college. :D
On another note, I was at a blues club a while back and one of the guys wrapped the mic cable around his amp handle and so he could hang a SM57 upsidedown in front of the speaker. The tone was fantastic, I guess the off axis coloration of the SM57 was part of his sound
