Nope, all electronic components can be damaged by static discharges like transistors, capacitors and............yes...............even resistors.

In almost 25 years, I have never worked in any company large or small where the labs were anything but a mess.

Production facilities are totally different, though.

Humm, I once tried to damage a resistor with static electricity and it didn't damage the risistor.

Then you've got to define the charge/voltage you're dealing with. Under normal household circumstances you would be very unlikely to damage any caps, resistors, diodes, inductors or silicon junction transistors. IC's that contain CMOS (complementary metal oxice semiconductor) technology are very sensitive to static discharge and are easily damaged.

However, if you're talking about large charges and voltages, anything can be ruined. I remember I had a lump of coal in my hand when the lightning struck me - blew that piece of coal all to hell. :)
 
It seems it's a mistake that I uploaded these photos in here . I have not notice that there are no any others manufactories have shown their photos to public . Many people maybe think they must looks beautiful or hi-tech ? If any others can show their photos , then you know they are the same .

I don't think it was a mistake to post the pictures here... send Alan Hyatt a PM and ask him to post pictures of his new Studio Projects mic factory. Thanks again for postiing the pictures danshi, I really enjoyed them and they helped answer some of my quesitions about Chinese made mics.

Did I miss something here? Or is DJL simply trying to stir things up? I thought Alan made it pretty clear that he's in partnership with 797 on Studio Projects stuff. Where exactly did Alan say something about "his new Studio Projects mic factory"?

Is this another example of DJL's "facts"?
 
Alan is not so happy about the situation B5/797.

A couple of days ago he said so on Studio Forums, the next morning the thread was deleted.

I have the memory of an elephant though.

That's not what you asked. You said, "send Alan Hyatt a PM and ask him to post pictures of his new Studio Projects mic factory." As far as I know, the Studio Projects mic factory is here:

...and it's been around for about 50 years.

What is this "his new Studio Projects mic factory" you're refering to?
 
Maybe its a referace to the new USA made mics of his..I seem to remember him mentioning them in the past ..I could be wrong and this is just a guess

You know, it's the new PMI Audio/Studio Projects mic factory were they make the SPA and new "USA Made" E series Studio Projects mics. Where is the PMI Audio mic factory Harvey?

Anyway Danshi, maybe Alan Hyatt will post pictures of his mic factory if you send him a PM and ask. I also think it would be neat to see them.

At least I would think they would be, for as much as you pay for them....

danshi, in pictures 4,5, and 8, you show the testing chamber with the computer... I'd like to know more about that. Who is the testing chamber made by... or is it home-made? The reason why I'm asking is because I'd like to make one... can you find out more details about the chamber for me and the software used? Thanks
