heres a tricky one for ya..

question: i need to know the pin configuration for the foot pedal plug of a peavey ultra-gain plus tube head...

reason: i dont use my pedal, mega-distortion only... im sick of carrying the unused pedal with me.. id like to jumper the pedal plug to stay always on -red-
... theres a chance my switch is broken, because i can change to any other mode except for red(ultra) without the pedal..

any help is greatly appreciated..

Your question is a little confusing. Are you saying that you only use one channel of the amp? Why do you need the footswitch if this is the case? Otherwise I would just open up the pedal and take a look. A switch is a switch it shouldn't be too hard to wire it differently to suit your needs (would be more specific but im confused about what your asking).

sorry for the confusion...

i dont want to use the footpedal/ but apparantly i cant get to the mode i use without it...

i was hoping someone knew the pin configuration of the input for the pedal so i could just jump the connection that would be switched with the switch... ? (while the pedal is not connected, because the jumper would be in the way) (looks like a 7-pin connector)

if noone knows i will just randomly short the connections til i find the one that switches it into the mode i need... then tape the jumper in place.. and its always in the mode i need...

but this seems dangerous...

and the manual isnt helpful...

thanks for any help
