PCI Cards

Hello, i was wondering how much better the sound quality is on a PCI card for a 1/4 cable is vs. using an adapter in a mic input?

I can't tell for sure from the description provided, but I would assume that the 2 inputs are TRS 1/4" with the levels controlled thru software.

In this case, you would need to either buy or build 2 microphone cables with the normal cannon microphone end and the other end in a 1/4" Tip/Ring/Sleeve (TRS) configuration --- this is just a different way of presenting a balanced signal to the input rather than the traditional microphone cable. You can find adapters @ Radio Shack that do the same job, but they're relatively heavy and might not be the best choice if they're going to be hanging in the air.
