Overpriced?

I know that the Vortexion recorders (based on the same deck as the Ferrograph) are quite rare, but I think this is getting a little expensive.... :eek:

I've seen series 4 stereo Ferrographs going locally for the equivalent of < US$100. I think this is based on the series 6 Wearite deck (the last model made).

Yes. I don't believe I've ever seen one reach £300. That price is just silly, although I have to admit it seems to be in a very nice condition.
 
I checked this seller's feedback history,...

and he has a knack of selling very small and seemingly insignificant items for very high prices, supposedly based on their rarity. Note: an 8-pin Neumann mic cable that's many decades old, for $180; a Neumann var-istor (single component) for $150.

Go figure. :eek:
