This is my newest song. I'm a bit concerned that I dragged the beginning out too long (that's been an outstanding issue with my songs in the past). I'm not sure anyone at this particular forum is even going to like this at all, but I'm proud of it anyway :D

Feel free to comment and criticize, but in doing so bear in mind that this song is finished. I'm not making any further changes.

Not sure to say anything about the mix as you've already said you arent going to change it

But I enjoyed the track...I found the white noise a little grating at the beginning but I liked the initial test tone bleeps

its got a real old school vibe about it...not sure Id call it trance, I hear 808 State, Tricky Disco, FUSE..in fact a lot of circa 1990 Techno stuff, which is surprising considering your age (no offense)..I love this period of dance music

This is pretty solid...not sure I liked the lead tone as it was...maybe more sound manipulation would be my choice

good stuff though :)

Edit: Ill have a trance one up later this week as well...there's a couple of electro heads dotted about in here and the old rockers are pretty up for most stuff...great bunch in fact ;)

Funny you should mention that, I listen to old school Techno and Acid quite a bit. Pretty much every song I make has some inspiration in it (I'd say there could be some Nostrum in here somewhere, in addition to F.U.S.E. like you said).

Thanks for the comments!

no worries...and great that another generation still listens to that stuff...I dont know how well known it is on this side of the pond but dig up tunes on the "Warp" label from Sheffield UK...some of the best of its era..:drunk:

Not bad, dude. Definitely not trance, more a light variant of techno, but not bad.

My nits would be the drums. At about a minute in, when everything was building up for the first movement, I literally said out loud - "C'mon.. Open wide" - and ..... it kind of did. The drums should have been almost 4-D. Instead, they sounded quite flat in comparison with the spaciality of the rest of the instruments.

Not bad, though, man. If you want to improve or are interested in advice at all, talk to Keith (KCearl). He's done some amazingly spacial trance / techno / house jives, and he does them well.

Keep at it, bro!
