yea, those things rock ass...i saw dillinger escape plan last year, and they had orange amps all over the stage. what was really nuts is that i went to see QOTSA and slipknot/lamb of god all in the same week, but the DEP show, which was in the smallest venue by far, was the only one that had my ears ringing when i left

wow i had no idea dillinger used oranges.. i mean, orange amps. i mean orange brand amps.. i could buy a can of orange spray paint and..

i looked on the site before i posted up anything here, but i couldnt find the dealers.. i clicked on the american flag but the site was down, so i didnt look any further. i will now

I have a hard time believing that Dillinger Escape Plan used Orange amps... They're way loud and perfect for rock, but they definitely wouldn't have the tight, fast response needed for their music. Each and every time I saw them, they were playing Dual Rectos (last time, James Love was playing a Stiletto though).

i have pictures of the show somewhere...but it's possible they might have been using the orange cabs with a different head

the weird thing about organe is how the clean channel doesn't go thru the EQ circuit...or at least not on the 2 or 3 models i've tried out (my uni was giving a whole bunch of the rockerverb 30 & 50 combos, as well as the 50 and 100 heads & 4.12 cabs, and also the AD200B bass head).


i've used them quite a bit for recording various bands, and i've often found either the guitarist adores them and gets a sweet sweet tone from it or he absolutely hates it and sounds like ass trhu it.




my personal opinion is that whilst they can provide a very sweet tone indeed it's certainly not suited for all musicians or all types of music.

i wudnt surgest getting any of these recent guitar amp makes. id still with a marshall or a fender. then ure defo get a good sound. orange and line 6 r unreliable n break alot.

i wouldnt say that they are unreliable at all. i have played mainly the rocker series and they are great amps. and solid too.

also look into Matamp (if you live in England as they do not mass manufacture/market large wattage amps here in the States)

Matamp is the way to go (as long as you don't care about the plain black vinyl cover, compared to the flashier original orange ones). As far as I know, Matamp built a custom order combo with Orange for Jimmy Page. If it's good enough for him, it'll be fine for me. Plus, I've played two or three smaller Matamp combos, and one head, and they all sound great. better than great, actually.
