when i record i hear the vocals out of one side, is this from recording in mono? how do i fix this?

and another question i tried using pro tools it said something about ilock, how do i get around this?

You're recording a mono source to a stereo track. Don't do that.

You don't. You buy the software and it works. If you're trying to use pirated software on the other hand...

Where do i swtich it to record into mono track ,

Click on the REC # button at the channel and select Left or Right (probably left if the input is mono) instead of Stereo
