Sorry it took awhile to get back to you guys. Been busy…blah blah blah…you know the drill. I appreciate the comments & ideas all you guys threw out here. You guys are the greatest.
boydrj – Thanks for listening & compliments
muzeman – Thanks for the eq tip. I will check it out. Thanks for listening & the kind words
powderfinger – Thanks for listening. I am pretty darn happy with the DI sound. With tweaking, I think it will definitely be useful for just getting down ideas in the future and still getting a decent guitar sound without going through the trouble to set the mic up.
Guernica – Thanks for the listen & nice comments. I suppose I’ll have to bring the old Celebrity out on a date once in awhile, but I think I’ll be spending time with the new girlfriend

. The Celebrity certainly served its purpose. Now I need to get practicing so I don’t look like someone that has more money to spend on a guitar than he has time to practice it

I don’t deserve this guitar yet, but I intend to remedy that

.
participant – Thanks. Yeah…I think I pretty well suck at finger picking. I’m gonna have to write some strummin’ songs for awhile. Thanks for the kind words & Chris can pat me on the back anytime as long as he keeps it above the waste. Errr…eeyuh…
bd – Thanks…I thought about sending you half, but…well…alright…I didn’t

. Since my father in law was very explicit that I had to spend this money on
a guitar, I couldn’t very well disobey that order could I?

. Thanks man…this thing plays so nicely. It’s a joy. GL on the new Taylor. I played quite a few of those in this process and liked them and would probably go in that direction if I was to pick up another guitar (can’t have too many right?

) for a different sound. I really was impressed with the Larrivees as well.
groucho -

. Yup…big….fat….liar. Well. 2 our of 3 ain’t bad

. Thanks for listening.
David – Thanks David. Hey, that ain’t a bad deal. I could stand to have the $$$ back and my pocket
and still use the guitar.

. I really do like it. Thanks for listening and the kind words. BTW…I saw a song of yours slip by awhile ago (I’ve been pretty busy). I need to find it.
Khompewtur – Yeah, Crawdad did post his version of this song back around then. Please don’t A/B them

. I don’t actually have on board eq controls on this system (I didn’t want to cut into the new axe). It does have a bass cut adjustment though, even though it is hard to get at. I will have to play with that a bit. Thanks for listening
Crawdad – Thanks for listening. Too bad the song sucks so much

. Thanks for the idea on the Para & mic stand tray. Will give that a look. Yeah…and no saw will ever touch my baby

. Yes C

. It fit pretty well, although, I’m considering knocking it down to B as I rehearse it for live performance. Haven’t quite decided yet. Granny falsetto

LOL…I’d love to hear it. Maybe you can do a BG’s cover some time and post it up? I’m not sure you have attacked that style yet

. Thanks for listening
Sluice – Yes, Al did do a version of this and is heavily associated because we co-wrote this

. Yeah…I’m gonna have to work on figuring out how to get rid of the boomies with the DI. Already have a few ideas where to start thanks to you guys here. I’m with you on the river thing. I grew up on the Mississippi River and it is just in my blood. In fact, the first song I wrote 8 years ago (when I first started really writing) is titled “The River”. It’s kind of what got me on this track. I wrote it and started playing it and a lot of people started commenting on how good they thought it was. That’s what kind of kindled this writing obsession I have now. I’ll have to record it and put it up for you guys some time. I don’t think it’s radio material, but I don’t think it’s a bad song either. In fact, one publisher I played it for said he thought it was my best effort at that time. Hmmmmm…maybe I’ll have to revisit that one too

. Thanks a lot for listening and the kind words.
erichenryus – Thanks for listening and the nice comments. I would really like to work my guitar chops up and get my recording skills to a point where maybe I could start doing simple guitar/vocal demos for people for a reasonable price. I’ve got a ways to go on that front I think, but maybe someday I can make this passion something other than a money drain (or less of one

). I’m already doing some pro bono

work for some folks already and enjoying it and there is a pretty good market for affordable guitar/vocal demos for songwriters around here. My schedule is full with projects for the next two weeks (sounds so professional doesn’t it

). Just a wild thought for down the road a ways. Thanks much
