Oktava mk012(russian not chinese)vsAKG c1000

Anyone have an opinion on these two. I'm mainly using it on acoustic (baritone)guitar with a CAD e100(good cheap mid to large sized diaphram for my lows) up close. thanks Ki also do the oktavas even get close to a neuman km184

This is a remarkably un-even contest. The C-1000, though it comes from a good family, is the red headed stepchild all the way. (apologies to any redheaded stepchildren reading this). Aside from horns, I've absolutely no use for the C-1000, and it's an opinion shared by many. The MK-012, on the other hand, is a way better mic than it's price or lineage would suggest, and is the far more popular mic of the two. I love my 012s, and having used Km-184s, feel no need or desire to upgrade.
