... I figure some of are prpobably pretty cluey about sound reinforcement.
Here's the question.
Male voice(s). Baritone range. Amplified through a small two speaker PA as part of a duo that features two acoustic guitars.
Of these three mics, without hearing the voice(s), which mic would you suspect gives the best results:
Shure SM57
Shure SM58
Sennheiser e935
I'm not at this stage after other recommendations - these are the mics I have available and I need to set something up for a performance without the benefit of much soundchecking it much beforehand, as there'll be no time. I need a good starting point, basically.
I suspect the e935 is the best option as it seems (using my HR gear as a pseudo PA) to require the vocalist to not be as close to the mic, thus reducing the proximity effect (extra bass not being something a baritone often needs..) and giving a "clearer", less nasal, sound.
Any thoughts welcome.
