got off 250 miles back. you've slept through the 'action'. it's Chattanooga, btw. Wasn't it your destination? Whether it was or not the train goes to depot for now .robin watson said:Jeezuz, analog guys - where do you get off?

yes I did.FALKEN said:..you say that they are fraudulent when they say they can bring the "richness and vintage sound of analog gear".
No and no.FALKEN said:Can you define the "richness and vintage sound of analog gear" and prove that they do not have this? Could you provide real evidence that the "sound" is not there?
that's an easy one.Beck said:Whataya think? .
Beck said:Most people don’t realize it can’t be done just like many people don’t realize you don’t go looking for inland freshwater fish in the ocean, or that certain plants simply cannot grow in certain parts of the earth.
FALKEN said:Yes, and many people also don't realize that diet coke doesn't taste as good as the original. we should be up in arms!!! The cola company is a FRAUD! Oh man, and they told me that the snickers bar would SATISFY me. it says it right on the label. but it didn't!!! FRAUDS!! and they told me that Miller Lite tastes better! They lied!!! Digidesign, or digital recording, love it or hate it, I don't see a problem with their marketing. Or maybe if I did see a problem with the marketing, that problem would be with marketing overall and I wouldn't really see the big deal with digidesign in particular.
Beck said:I'm sure you feel differently when you take your car into a repair shop. You no doubt expect to get the service you are paying for. You would surely feel ill-used if you paid for a product or service that wasn't delivered as advertised.
Are you trying to say that "Reel Tape (tee em)" is the gate to the richness and vintage sound of analog gear just as much as diet coke is the same as the 'original' one?FALKEN said:Yes, and many people also don't realize that diet coke doesn't taste as good as the original. .
FALKEN said:OK Sure. In this case there should be some sort of evidence that your car was not repaired as described. But how can you actually prove that a particular beer tastes "better", or that a fabric softener makes your clothes "softer"? These are subjective opinions. Much like what "vintage analog sound" is. If you took your car back to the mechanic and said "my car just doesn't feel right. I know it should be driving differently but I can't really describe it" I doubt you are going to get your money back.
