Hello there!

Just trying to find a place to ask questions bout my situation and this place seemed a good place to start. Anyways, I really want a microphone stand for a mic that is the same size as a guitar hero mic. The stand just has to have a clamp for the mic, a clamp that clamps onto the edge my desk and have a gooseneck arm. I really want to assemble my own(tight on money) and found these three pieces:(can't post links, but these are the exact names on amazon.com)

On Stage Microphone 13-inch Gooseneck, Chrome

On Stage TM03 Table Microphone Clamp

Shure A25D Microphone Holder

Now my question...is there any reason i couldn't screw these three pieces together and have the mic stand I described? Like do those particular ones not fit, or where could I find ones that do?...thanks a lot for reading!

It does look like all three of those pieces will assemble into the thing you want. They're most likely all 5/8" 27tpi, the US standard for mic stands.

Am not a big fan of "on stage" microphone stands. The center of gravity is to high being from the tripod legs not opening more than they do ... Resulting in them tipping over real easily.

Agreed, but he's clamping the stand to his desk ...
