Here’s a new original tune for you to critique. Family is out of town so I threw this one together this afternoon.

Kind of chaotic. All original with the exception of a little lyrical nod to SOAD in one section. It just seemed like the right thing to do, lol!

Any mix advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Someone’s Dog

I dug into the ground
To see what I had, see what I had found
It makes a sound
There’s nothing temporary in this
You tear it down
You made it sound so simple and it
Ended up inside of someone’s dog
…It makes me wonder
(x2)

I had seen

Wake up!
Grab a brush and put a little makeup
Hide your scars to fade away the shakeup
Why’d you leave your keys up on the table?
Here you go create another…

And then you see me understand
I end up missing
Everything and everything and
Don’t always think that I can
The sentences don’t bring me
Anything and anything and anything and…

I have to listen to the song a few more times - but at 2:55 you pull a Knack My Sharona type blocking.

Nice and tight. Can't fault the mix. I like that phaser effect. Whole jam is pretty catchy alright. Good job
