Shouldnt there be three lava lamps, like mixerman?

I would get one, but Im afraind my house will burn down if I plug in one more thing out there.

I desperately want to build my own desk for the new place.
Right now all I have is a conceptual sketch done by hand. I'll start CAD-ing it up here before too long.

I'm thinking it'll be attached to the floor. What I'm thinking is utilizing a sort of "kitchen island" construction technique. That way I can have the power come right up into the bottom of it through the channels that are in the slab.

Something like they did here at GuruLand only I have 2 keyboards I'd like to have "flank" the desk.

It'll be like a DAW Pilot Cockpit. :)
Strap yourself into this black motorized chair that'll move and recline you into any position. Head's up display of the s/w that also allows you to see through the control room window.
That'll be COO-ELL!

And Kevn, damn thats fine work there dude, did you do cabinetry in your house too! No wonder your studio is commin out so fine too. Attention to details is the name of the game, huh?

Hey Michael,

Sawhorses are good. And if you make your own you can build them to rack widths so your outboard stuff can be tucked up out of the way while you mix! :D

The funny thing is, I built it in the wrong room and realized after that it was too big to get through the doors :( .. fortunatly, the 2x3 piece was bolted on and not glued or nailed. Taking it off allowed easy transport. Not until after a fair amout of swearing though.

i want to make a desk for DM-24

Well i want to put my DM24 with two 17" VGA and 1029A for nearfield monitoring. Someone gonna help me with that in terms of dimension and design? I also want to rack my Decks that includes one Tascam 78HR, MD, 130 Cassette Deck, DA-40 Dat. Please suggest some good design.

Well, I have some old plywood, a few warped 2x4's and a handfull of bent nails.

The plys are separating on the plywood, but my kid has some school paste that sticks pretty good.

:p
