There is a program that will convert your existing drive system to RAID - It might be Partition Magic - or it might be the Intel RAID setup software that came on my machine. But I converted to RAID just by adding the drive then configuring the thing and let it run through its crap overnight - converted to RAID and everything is all set now - you need a RAID examiner

I am using Acronis to mirror my booting HDD to the other drive now. My soundcard is supposed to be able to do the raid setup itself, however I didn't find out that I had to hit an imaginary combination of keys to get it setup. Nothing in the manual that I did not get with the motherboard. I claim dufus hat here. Anyway, I'll be hitting you up for advice I'm sure Wes.

OH FUCK ME FUCK FUCKK!!!!! I just wiped my main drive!!!! FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK me

I bought a G6 Hewlett Packard at Best Buy for 599 CDN and got a free XBOX 360. It has all the recommeded stuff from post #2. Laptops rule.

I love Xbox360 - awesome console

Netflix is also the win. I cancelled all my premium cable channels and just stream movies.

We do netflix through the Wii, and I'm not thrilled with it. There's a lot of crap and it's not in HD....unless I'm doing something wrong.

I can get the HD on the laptop but I don't think the wii can do HD cause it doesn't have HD video. When I watch HD on the laptop I get stutter sometimes - even though I have a really fast internet connection - not sure what that's about -

I think the XBOX260 might be able to do it cause it has HD output -

There are a lot of movies you can't get streaming - we are on the one disc plan so we get DVDs mailed too - but there are a lot of good documentaries and fairly new releases - sure beats going to Blockbuster

I've been recording on the same computer since 2005. It's time for a new one. I don't even know what to look for. Tell me what to buy. Do it now.

Get a mac. Less hassle, less crashing, no need to have virus protection eating up all of your ram.
