It's been ages since I've used an 89, but it's much better than the U87, IMO. Flatter and wider response, higher SPL, and five patterns instead of three.

C chessparov New member Jul 25, 2004 #4 I only got to try it once a long time ago, and agree with Harvey. Would get a U89 WAY before a U87 based on that experience. BTW the Aussie group "Men At Work" lead singer was miked with a U89 and a 414 at the same time for his (Colin Hay's) vocals. Chris
