Hello,

I have been writing and performing for almost 10 years now and finally discovered that i can save heaps of money by producing my own music for my lyrics (DUH)!
Well, anyway, i have the Radio Shack MD -1700 (76 key) keyboard; this is the beginning of my home studio. In creating a complete instrumental, i figured out how to ,seperately, make the INTRO, NORMAL, VARIATION FILL-INS and ENDING; however, Im getting huge headaches in trying to RECORD an instrumental completely so that i can just sit back and listen to all these components that i've created coming together. Right now if i want to hear the complete track i have to sit there and press INTRO button and then, when its time, hit the NORMAL button, then when its time, hit the VARIATION FILL-IN button, then when its time, hit the ENDING button. NO FUN. HEELLLLPPPPPPP!!!!

THANX,
LYNX

Have you thought about using software like Cakewalk to control the keyboard?

REPLY

HELLO AGAIN,

Thanks for replying to my plea for help. Yes I have the manual, however some of the explanations they give are in pretty difficult terms for a beginner like myself. I hope this keyboard is able to bring an instrumental alltogether like i need!
Yes, I am thinking of CAKEWALK. I actually posted a question in the Cubase forum asking which is better, cakewalk or cubase. Remember, i know nothing about this stuff yet. Will cakewalk allow me to put all these components together? That would be great. Again thanks for the info. and please, if anyone else has this keyboard or can help me Ill be listening. THANKS

LYNX
