Hi all. I am new to this forum, and recording in general. I have a M-Audio Audiophile 24496. From what I can see, n-tracks has the features I need/want to get going, without spending a small fortune. I like the fact of unlimited tracks and audio sources, software eq and compression. All of the other software with these capabilities cost much, much more, with features I don't really need at the moment.
I am going to use an ART Tube MP mic pre-amp for vocals, and I have a Johnson j-station for bass, guitar etc. I am going to try and go digital s/pdif out from the j-station into the 2496 for the guitar stuff.
Anyone else out there using this or a similar setup ? Any advice on configuring everything ?
I tried to test it out but kept getting errors related to the device settings. Which drivers should I be using? I am trying to use the WDM drivers. Is this the best choice ?
