My remake medley - 3 songs to titillate you!

Always wanted to start 1 project and do 3 songs in a row with the same sounds, assembly line style. Should have picked 3 songs with a more similar style, oh well. It was fun! A month's work, but fun!



Any comments on the mix and mastering much appreciated!
 
The tune(s) sound perfectly excellent to me. Everything fits with the style. Any changes would be purely based on personal prefrence in my opinion. Nice performance too.

I think the trick to getting responses is an enigmatic title or one that begs an insult or two, like "Am I a dork or what"? Also, there are a lot of metal heads 'round these parts so some styles get a lot more interest.

I gave the medley a listen and it sounds great. I am not able to offer any advice and these are not my types of songs stylistically, but I just wanted to let you know that the performances and recording sound top notch. Very tight and there is tremendous clarity.

Now, where's my free beer??? :eek::D
 
Sounds like a great set of recordings. I think, most want to sound that good in a recording.
But three different styles, and don't know how you think they go together. Just my take on it.
  1. Stray Cats tune ? played well ... nice vocals, too. Guitar solo done well. True to the vibe of rockabilly
  2. ahhh, Honeymoon Suite "New Girl Now". Nice version. You know they got a new album out. Sound almost as good as the original, in every way. Best of the three, by far.
  3. Smoking in the Boys Room. Your vocals make the song sound different, especially backing vocals. Usually used to hearing a metal screamer on lead vox.

Yeah they don't really go together, just 3 songs I wanted to record. Halfway through I went "this is stupid and pointless.." but it was too late to turn back!! :eek:
