ok, here goes

well, you're right, it REALLY is a dark song - not that that's a bad thing. I like the lyrics and the structure of the song - kind of a darker version of green day, so it was cool.

couple of things though, (and I'm going to be honest here) - the vocals were a bit, well, flat - I don't know if it was the mic you were you using or what (god knows my vocals sounded awful on my old cheapass mic) but for words that were so powerful and direct, the vocal seemd a bit flat - like if you really throw yourself into the song, it would give it more bang, y'know?. the other thing I thought was that the bit about returning to your "place of residence" didn't quite fit into the tempo of the song - I'm not nitpicking, just trying to give an honest review.

I really liked the song though - good, honest punk rock with a dark twist. I listened to a couple of other songs too - "where has everyone gone?" was cool - the extra boost of another guitarist and a confident lead singer gave a lot to the song.

anyways, that's my thoughts. feel free to disagree - I am often wrong and this could be one of those times, but yeah, there you go

hey thanks for the response. i live in a dorm so i have to keep it down. so the vocals i know sucked (they always do anyway). i also just "hit" record, i'm gonna do a better version of it sometime.

yea man, I feel your pain. I don't live in a dorm, but I do most of my recording late at night as that's when I have spare time, so I'm always "keeping it down". I give up playing git with a pick after midnight as it just earns me a bollocksing from my girl . . .
